Paolo Campanari Brancondi is an Italian born musician (Accordion, Piano, Singing), composer, teacher, actor and performer. He is a highly accomplished piano accordionist based permanently in Sydney. Versatile personality with many talents, with many years of experience. In the past 5 years he's been performing in a variety of venues in Sydney, as well as Interstate: in Merlbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Perth.
Paolo started studying piano accordion when he was 8, and at the age of 11 he composed his first original piece for accordion.
He graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts (Painting) in 2001, and at the Conservatory of Music (Concert Piano Accordion) in 2004.
As a solo musician, as well as in several different ensembles, he has performed playing various styles of music: classical, pop, folk, Balkan, Klezmer, jazz, soul and funk, with accordion and piano.
Paolo also holds other talents, such as acting and singing. He has performed in plays, musicals (just to mention a noteworthy one: "The Rocky Horror Show", in the role of Riff Raff) and comedies, as well as voice overs for several TV commercials and short films in his Country. For the past 5 years he's been specializing in French-themed entertainment, in solo version or in duo with a singer, at restaurants, festivals, markets, special events, Bastille Day Celebrations.
Paolo offers a variety of professional music entertainment services; as well as the French music/chansons, he can cover other kinds of repertoire, from German, Italian, Balkan-Klezmer, European in general, standard jazz, classical.
Paolo's accordion performances are suitable for intimate corporate functions, themed parties/events, soft, non-invasive background music.
Beside his activity as a on-stage musician, Paolo is also deeply engaged as a teacher, providing tuition for Piano and Piano Accordion.
